Reorganization of the Management Board of COMPAREX AG, Dr. Thomas Reich will take over the position of the Chairman of the Board

Leipzig / Vienna, 16.11.2017 – This week the Supervisory Board of COMPAREX AG unanimously decided to reorganize the Management Board. Dr. Thomas Reich will take over the position of the Chairman of the Board (CEO). Marc Betgem will continue in his office as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). The former Supervisory Board Chairman Wilhelm Doupnik will transfer into the Management Board as Chief Operations Officer (COO). In addition, Thomas Bargetzi will support the Management Board as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) starting in January 2018. The former CEO Wilfried Pruschak leaves the company in mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board. The former deputy Michael Kafesie will take over the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board

As per end of November 2017, the Management Board of COMPAREX AG consists of a new management team led by Dr. Thomas Reich as CEO. Dr. Reich has already been a member of the Management Board of COMPAREX AG since 2009; most recently he was responsible for the areas Finance and Operations. In addition to his functions as CEO, he will continue to be responsible for the area Finance. Marc Betgem, who was already called to the Management Board in 2016, will continue his function as CSO as before.

Wilhelm Doupnik was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of COMPAREX AG since 2014. In the Management Board he will in the future be responsible for the area Operations. Thomas Bargetzi will newly join the COMPAREX Group in January 2018 and complete the four-headed management team. In the future, he will be responsible for central projects and special tasks that arise as part of the ongoing business transformation processes of the COMPAREX Group. Marc Betgem, who was already called to the Management Board in 2016, will continue his function as CSO as before.
